The Major Star Trek Actors You Missed In Invincible Season 4

"Invincible" is known for getting some pretty high-profile talent to fill out its voice cast. There are supporting characters voiced by Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Mark Hamill, and Mahershala Ali, but that only scratches the surface. Season 4 adds plenty of new voices to the roster, and if you've paid attention during the last couple of episodes of Season 4, you may have noticed some "Star Trek" veterans added to the mix.

It's clear that there's plenty of love for the legendary sci-fi franchise behind the scenes on the animated superhero series, and "Invincible" Season 4, Episode 2 even included a full-fledged "Star Trek" parody. Plus this isn't the first time that "Star Trek" actors have have joined the "Invincible" cast.

Michael Dorn, who played Worf in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," has brought his gravelly, authoritative voice to Battle Beast in past seasons of "Invincible," while Zachary Quinto, who portrayed Spock in the Kelvin timeline "Star Trek" movies, voiced Robot in 17 episodes. However, Quinto is absent on Season 4, with Ross Marquand taking over Robot duties for the newer episodes. But now two more popular "Trek" actors have joined the ensemble.

Kate Mulgrew is a demon on Invincible Season 4

"Invincible" Season 3 ends with a teaser that we would see more of Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown), the demon detective who investigated Nolan (J.K. Simmons) in Season 1. He doesn't have much of a presence in the comics, but the show gave him a completely original adventure in which he summons Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) to Hell (or at least an approximation of Hell) to help him defeat Volcanikka (Indira Varma). But Damien isn't the only demon around. In addition to Satan (Bruce Campbell), there's also Domina, voiced by Kate Mulgrew.

Domina is Damien's sister, who battles alongside him at the beginning of Episode 4 but meets a gruesome end. Of course, demons are hard to kill permanently, so she's resurrected by the episode's end. That means there could be more of her in the future, especially with Damien investigating strange occurrences on the surface world.

Mulgrew is probably best known for playing Captain Kathryn Janeway on "Star Trek: Voyager." With a great intellect and determined protectiveness, she made for a great leader and popular fan favorite. Captain Janeway has plenty of fierce moments on "Star Trek" to prove that, and even though she may seem like the polar opposite to Domina on the surface, both are aggressive in their own ways.

LeVar Burton is the perfect AI voice in Invincible Season 4

When a horde of Mark Grayson variants wreaked annihilation on the planet in "Invincible" Season 3, one of the only heroes to defeat a variant was Tech Jacket (Zoey Deutch), who acquired alien armor that completely covers her body and provides her with immensely powerful weapons. It also comes with a handy AI system that informs her of when she's taking too much damage, and while it's slightly robotic, it's unmistakably the voice of LeVar Burton.

Many millennials probably remember him as the host of "Reading Rainbow," but he also starred on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" as chief engineer Geordi La Forge. Born blind, Geordi uses a special visor that allows him to see (he later switches to eye implants). He's extremely compassionate and skilled in his line of work, even if his social skills could use some improvement.

Given that Geordi is a major character on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," it's a shame he wasn't parodied in "Invincible" Season 4, Episode 2 along with the other "TNG" caricatures. Still, fans should take the continued casting of "Star Trek" actors as a sign that they should always be on the lookout for plenty of other "Star Trek" Easter eggs throughout "Invincible."
